Women’s place in engineering: OPAL-RT rewarded for its commitment


Convinced that each company must be socially responsible, OPAL-RT has always done its best to recruit qualified women, regardless of the job. This year marks the first time the company has achieved parity between male and female employees in its offices in France. Today, this division counts 6 men and 6 women, working side by side on a daily basis.

Encouraging women from an early age OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES also provides financial support to the association « Les Scientifines » whose goal is to help young girls discover science. Les Scientifines (www.lesscientifines.com) is a non-profit organization that promotes science to girls aged 8 to 12 years in underprivileged neighborhoods, such as Montreal’s (Canada) Little Burgundy and St-Henri, where close to half the area’s families live below the poverty line.
